Description:
This plant is a relative of locoweed, which is toxic to livestock. The Chinese species is nontoxic. It is the source of a Chinese medicine called Huang Qi which can be purchased in China for use against colds, flus, and other respiratory infections. It is viewed as a Chinese counterpart to Echinacea.
Actions:
Antiviral and immune-boosting effects. Useful for chronic immune problems.

Anorexia, anhydrotic, arthritis, bactericide, cardiotonic, cold, debility, diuretic, edema, hyperglycemia, numbness, oliguria, prolapse, rectocele, tonic, lung tumor, uterus.
Administration:
Follow the directions for adult dosing.
